Probably the only Russian movie I watch literally every year. I was introduced to this movie (a Russian classic that they still broadcast to this day every year for New Year's and essentially the Russian equivalent of "It's a Wonderful Life" because of that fact) many years ago and I was excited when I was able to finally get a copy on DVD. Every New Year's Eve without fail this is playing on my TV, just as surely as A Christmas Story is playing on Christmas Eve.
